This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets forth how Nerds Geeks Gurus, LLC., and/or its subsidiaries or affiliated companies (collectively, “Teen Driving Log,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) protect a User’s privacy when he or she uses the Teen Driving Log mobile application, or other products, services, and/or websites offered by Nerds Geeks Gurus, LLC (the “Services”) via the Teen Driving Log mobile application and/or the teendrivnglog.com website.

What personal data we collect & why we collect it

In App

When a User signs up for a Teen Driving Log Account, we ask him or her to provide select personal information. Personal information is any information that identifies a User personally, either alone or in combination with other information available to us. Personal information may therefore include, but is not limited to:

  • User’s name, number of hours needed to get your license (day & night), when the user is eligible to get their license
  • Select the adult passenger for trip (parent, instructor, other),  select type only, no name is required.
  • Driving Log data including Start and Stop Date and Time, and Driving Conditions selected by user.
  • Other data the user provides by their own choice in the notes section of the Log Entry
  • Email address where backup of driving log is sent

Personal information may be shared with third parties

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Teen Driving Log may store such information ourselves or it may be included in databases owned and maintained by our affiliates, agents or service providers. No personal information is available or used in this process.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Teen Driving Log is neither directed at, nor targeted to children under the age of 14. For that reason, we do not employ the Mobile Applications, or Services to knowingly solicit personal information or location information from to children under the age of 14. IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 14 YEARS OF AGE, THEN PLEASE DO NOT USE OR ACCESS THE SERVICES AT ANY TIME OR IN ANY MANNER. If we learn that someone under the age of 14 has provided personal information or location information, Teen Driving Log will use reasonable efforts to remove such information from our records. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Policy by instructing their children to never provide personal information or location information through any of our Services without their permission. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under the age of 14 has obtained a Teen Driving Log User account, then you may contact us, and request that we delete that child’s personal information and location information from our systems.

What data breach procedures we have in place

Teen Driving Log takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of the personal information and location information transmitted or disclosed to Teen Driving Log. What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

Advertisements that appear on Teen Driving Log are sometimes delivered (or “served”) directly to Users by third-party advertisers or ad network companies (collectively, the “Third Party Advertisers “). Third Party Advertisers may automatically receive a User’s IP address or other information about his or her mobile device or personal computer when serving advertisements.
